One Small Step

Today Miles stepped into a new era. Yes, you guessed it: he took his first solo step. For one brief moment he was moving of his own volition, unassisted, on two legs . For the first time, while circling the ottoman, the crib seemed close enough that crawling over to it seemed impractical. "The effort involved in getting down on the floor, crawling one step and then pulling myself back up seemed like overkill," Miles said in an interview after the event. "I can't believe how easy it was! I think I'll probably start to work it into my daily routine."
